Wukir Temple Mount, also called Temple Canggal, located on Dusun Gunung Wukir, Kadiluwih, Kecamatan Salam, Kabupaten Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia.

According to estimates, this temple is the oldest temple built during reign of King Sanjaya era of Old Mataram Kingdom, namely in 732 AD (654 years of Saka).

In the year 1879 found Inscription Canggal who are now stored at the National Museum in Jakarta.

The temple which was in the top of Mount Wukir is a Hindu temple, marked with the existence of a main temple of Shiva and the yoni symbol, 3 pieces of chapel, Geese (Brahma vehicle), Nandi (Shiva's vehicle) and Garuda - kind of bird(Vishnu vehicle).

If you want to visit there, first thing to do is to see Mr. Widodo, caretaker of the temple. He will open the gate of the temple for you and tell the story of this temple.
